Tonga-Australian welterweight Isi Fitikefu will face undefeated Turkish prospect Dzhabir Dzhabrailov at ONE Fight Night 38 on Friday, December 5, in Bangkok, Thailand.

Fitikefu brings extensive grappling credentials to the matchup as a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt who transitioned from rugby to martial arts with immediate success. The well-rounded fighter entered ONE Championship with a perfect 7-0 professional record that included five stoppage victories.

His promotional debut resulted in a split decision loss to Ruslan Emilbek Uulu at ONE on Prime Video 4 in November 2022, but Fitikefu rebounded six months later with a rear-naked choke submission of Valmir Da Silva at ONE Fight Night 9. The performance earned him a $50,000 bonus and demonstrated the grappling prowess that has defined his career.

Fitikefu's most significant victory came in September 2024 when he defeated Hiroyuki Tetsuka at ONE 168: Denver, snapping the Japanese fighter's five-bout winning streak and establishing himself among the division's elite contenders. The win extended his current streak to two consecutive victories.

A scheduled bout with former welterweight champion Zebaztian Kadestam fell through in May, leading to Fitikefu's extended layoff before this December return. Victory would position him as a legitimate contender for Christian Lee's welterweight championship.

Dzhabrailov represents one of ONE Championship's most explosive prospects, bringing a perfect 6-0 record with 100 percent finishing rate to the contest. The 20-year-old Turkish fighter has needed less than two minutes to secure all three of his promotional victories, establishing himself as one of the sport's most dangerous rising stars.

His promotional debut at ONE Friday Fights 79 in September 2024 set an immediate tone when he finished Eduardo Freitas in just 20 seconds. Dzhabrailov followed with a technical knockout of Khusan Urakov in January 2025, demonstrating his initial performance was no anomaly.

Most recently, the Turkish prospect defeated Nicolas Vigna in under two minutes at ONE Fight Night 32 in June, proving his ability to perform on the biggest stage against experienced competition.

The stylistic contrast creates intrigue as Fitikefu's patient grappling approach will be tested against Dzhabrailov's explosive aggression and finishing ability. The veteran has never faced an opponent with Dzhabrailov's rapid-fire finishing instincts, while the undefeated prospect has never encountered a grappler with Fitikefu's credentials and experience.
