Surging welterweight Neil Magny got his incredible run of UFC results back on track in Canada with a dominant points victory over Erick Silva, despite taking the fight on just two weeks’ notice. Only 22 days after losing to Demian Maia, which ended a run of seven straight wins, Magny bounced back against the Brazilian, teeing off on him on the way to a decision from the judges. This latest performance lifted the Illinois native into the top 15 of the UFC’s official welterweight rankings for the first time.
