If there was ever an image that truly encapsulated the five-round slugfest between welterweight heavy hitters Matt Brown and Robbie Lawler it would be the one you’re looking at now. Despite being bloody and bruised, ‘The Immortal’ truly showed his mettle as he raced forward with reckless abandon, unleashing punishment on his rival. Although he put it all on the line, it wasn’t enough to sway the judges’ decision in his favor. However, even though he didn’t walk away with the victory or a title shot, Brown showed everyone that he is a force at welterweight and can hang toe-to-toe with the best the 170lb division has to offer.
