Jon Jones might be a destructive force inside the Octagon, crushing opponents with elbows, oblique kicks and other vicious strikes, but even a man with as many physical gifts as ‘Bones’ needs help getting in the right frame of mind prior to a title fight. On the day of his title fight in Maryland, Jones spent some time in quiet reflection stood beside a waterfall, mentally preparing himself for the battle he was about to endure at UFC 172. In fact, during his five-round masterclass against heavy-hitting Brazilian Glover Teixeira, coach Greg Jackson reminded Jones about the inner peace he’d found at his quiet sanctuary before he unleashed a storm on his rival.
