Kenny Johnson is one of the most esteemed wrestling coaches in MMA. Noted for his work with BJ Penn, he’s also taught Anderson Silva and Lyoto Machida. He and UFC bantamweight Pedro Munhoz present the best wrestling techniques for MMA.

2. Kenny ducks under Pedro’s right jab ready to shoot in for the double-leg.
3. Kenny drives under Pedro’s hips and secures a grip behind Pedro’s left knee and another on his upper hamstring.
4. However, instead of pushing his momentum forward for the takedown, Kenny drives up and under to take Pedro’s weight onto his right shoulder.
5. Sliding back his right foot and twisting his torso in one movement, Kenny dumps Pedro onto the canvas. As Pedro hits the mat, Kenny drops his bodyweight on top ready to advance position or work on attacks.
