Brock Lesnar walks back to his locker room shortly after announcing his retirement from MMA following his first-round defeat to Alistair Overeem during the UFC 141 event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. After a relatively short but highly productive MMA career, spanning just eight fights but including a three-fight reign as UFC heavyweight champion, Brock, escorted by his wife Rena ‘Sable’ Mero, said goodbye to mixed martial arts. “I’m going to officially say, tonight was the last time you’ll see me in the Octagon,” Lesnar told Joe Rogan. Finally, it seemed that the double dose of diverticulitis and an increased level of competition inside the cage had taken its toll. But thanks for the memories Brock Lesnar, your run in mixed martial arts, although brief, will never be forgotten.
