While the UFC heavyweight is known for his hard talk, he reveals that he’s really a laid-back gamer geek who is dressed by his wife...

Jen Mir [Frank’s Wife]

Jeans

“Shopping for Frank is really hard because he’s built like a running back; his waist is smaller, he has big legs and a big butt. MAC jeans work really good for Frank. He also likes Diesel.”

Shoes

“Frank loves Prada shoes and boots, but he prefers to wear Converse. Frank’s also a flip-flop guy so I’ve mastered the fancy flip-flop. He’ll wear flip-flops all year long unless he has to dress smart (laughs). I’ve got leather, Louis Vuitton and Prada flip-flops. I spend more money on flip-flops than anything else!”

Watches

“He loves watches. He’s just bought a Cartier and he loves David Yurman.”

Daywear

“He wears a lot of his own Suffer clothing line. He either has Suffer on or the new thing he loves right now is John Varvatos. There’s a store in Caesar’s called Scoop and they make V-neck tees and they’re the only tees he wears. When I go in they know to pull all the XXLs, two in every color – and I go every three months!”

Is your personal style laid back or more smart?

Frank: “I have no clue with half the s**t I wear! My wife dresses me. She’s the one who has to look at me and the one I have to represent when I walk out. Every once in a while I get to pull the veto if something’s a little too crazy but for the most part 99% of everything I wear is her choice.”

So what exactly is too crazy?

“Any time I look like I should be on the Jersey Shore show I’d pretty much call that a veto. I have a paranoia about that because I’ve always made fun of guys who look like they’re wearing their little brother’s T-shirt, so if I wear something that’s a little form-fitting I have to ask other people if I look like I’m trying to show off my muscles.”

So what do you buy yourself?

“Classic cars. I have a ‘68 Chevrolet Camaro Super Sport and a ‘66 Mustang Coupe but it’s definitely not in its original form. I like the look of an old car but I like the performance of a new car. It’s also about the way it handles. I know a lot of guys who’ll soup up their engine yet it still drives like s**t; they hit a corner and the car’s rolling to one side. That’s not my thing. I think you should redo the whole frame and fit air shocks and so on to make a better performance.”

If you could own any gun, what would it be?

“I’d probably take my AR-15 just because it’s a very light rifle. It’s compatible with certain situations such as if I had to go hiking with it. I’d feel I could confidently operate it under stress.”

You’re a gamer, what’s your set-up?

“On my Macbook I haveWorld of Warcraft. I’m still a newbie at that. It’s funny, I have guys all the time on there that’ll start insulting me and saying things to me and I’ll just laugh and think, ‘In this world you’re a level 85 Druid but in my world I’d have you wipe my ass and thank me for it!’

I also have a $20,000 surround sound in my Xbox/PS3 game room. I had the little geek squad come round and hook it up. I got more wires behind my TV than I’ll ever know what to do with!”

Do you have any other indulgences around the house?

“The other day I picked up a picture and my wife was like, ‘Be gentle!’ and I was like, ‘Well yeah it’s an old picture,’ and she said, ‘No the frame is worth $1,500.’ So I’m looking at the frame and moving it round in my hands and thinking, ‘How the f**k does a frame cost $1,500!’ It looked like wrought iron, but somehow it did.”
