Marius Zaromskis backflips onto Eiji Ishikawa in front of a surprised Tokyo crowd at the Dream Japan GP Final event. It was one of two such attacks from the Lithuanian that night en route to a decision victory. The part-guard pass channeled Nippon superstar Kazushi Sakuraba’s diet of cartwheel passes and double-handed ground ‘n’ pound chops that so thrilled Japanese crowds during the man’s prime. The stars might be fading in Japan, but fan and fighter passion is not.
