‘The California Kid’ takes you through his SoCal style. The beloved UFC bantamweight just has one rule: no video games…
K-Swiss Footwear
Urijah: “I used to wear Rainbow sandals but now I wear K-Swiss. I’m either in running shoes or sandals most of the time. I usually wear sandals with a pair of my favorite jeans. I also wear Ugg boots on the cold days. They’re awesome.”
Diesel Jeans
“Diesel Industries are my favorite type of jeans but I’m actually designing some jeans for FORM Athletics. We should have those out shortly. We’re branching out and doing all kinds of cool stuff. We’re going to be modeling some FORM stuff after my favorite band too. For jeans I like Diesel but I go with Fink for comfortable, casual pants that aren’t jeans.”
FORM Crested V-Neck Sweater
“It’s probably my favorite. I’ll wear it to the gym and do my shadow boxing, and boxing workouts in it. Then I’ll wash it and go out afterwards in it. Sometimes I’ll sleep in it and wear it around the house like pajamas. It’s like an all-purpose piece of clothing for me. I wear a lot of hoodies and regular sweatshirts. It’s just stuff that’s comfortable really. T-shirts, jeans and board shorts are mostly what I like to chill in.”
Headbands
“I’ll wear them to hold my hair back or I’ll wear flat-bill caps – usually backwards.”
Cars
“I’ve got a black Chevy Tahoe with black rims, and a silver Mercedes E250 2011 with some pretty sweet rims. Which one’s my favorite? I like the Benz; I’ve always been a big fan of Benz. My mom has always loved Mercedes Benz and we had an old one from the 1960s or something so I’ve always had a special place in my heart for the Benz. But the Tahoe’s nice to throw all the guys in. I like them both but cruising around in the Benz is pretty sweet.”
Video Games
“I’m actually an anti video game guy. A couple of my housemates bought video games and it lasted about four days. I said, ‘No, not in my house.’ I don’t have time for video games. I don’t like when people get addicted to them and I don’t like having people sit around my living room playing video games. There are definitely no video games in my house.”
Watches
“I’m not a watch guy. Because I’m always sweating and having to change my clothes and take showers, I’m always having to take a watch off and it seems like I lose them a lot. I wear watches on special occasions, but for the most part I’m too active to wear a watch.”
Flatscreen TV’s
“We have TVs all over the place. We’re always watching the fights and having events. Next door we have a media room where we cut and splice all these videos we’ve been putting out lately, and we have a projection screen in there too.”
iPod Dock
“We’ve got one in the living room and I’ve got one in my room. I’m a big Pandora fan [Internet music streaming service]. Whatever I’m in the mood for I’ll put it into Pandora and wherever I’m going I’ll bring my phone. In the sauna – we have the sauna right outside my room – we had, I think, eight people the other day and I brought Pandora in.”
