Megumi Fujii

The agony of defeat. Japanese female fighting sensation Megumi Fujii is inconsolable after tasting defeat for the first time in her 23-fight career. ‘Mega Megu’ lost the contentious five-round decision to Zoila Frausto at the Bellator 34 event in late October despite being the heavy favorite. Fujii elected to stand for the majority of the bout instead of using her superior ground game. Her record dropped to 22-1 while the American ‘Warrior Princess’ took home the 115lb Bellator belt.
