Nicknamed ‘The Hitman’, Danish fighter Martin Kampmann has possibly the most appropriate sponsor ever in Hitman Fight Gear.

One of the original members of the Xtreme Couture fight team, Kampmann is a well-rounded and dangerous welterweight known for his surgically precise striking and technical grappling.

Kitbag

A Hitman bag, a little camo duffel bag. It’s not that big, but I’ve got a lot of my gear here in the locker room at the gym, so I don’t need to bring that much stuff to training.

Triumph United boxing gloves

I like the Triumph United gloves, they’re a good fit. I have a pair of the lace-up, but I just got a new pair with the Velcro. I like the lace-up but it takes a little bit longer to put on.

Headgear

Everlast headgear, they make good stuff. I got a pair of their gloves too. I like that old-school headgear they got, it’s got good padding. For a long time I hated wearing headgear but now I’m starting to feel good about wearing it, and I feel naked almost if I’m not wearing it when sparring. It took a while getting used to wearing it and Everlast headgear is one of the few that I’m comfortable wearing.

Shinpads

Triumph shin guards are some of the best I’ve ever had, a lot of shin guards, they slide around, but the Triumph are a good, snug fit and give good protection too.

CytoSport Supplements

I got the Cytomax sports drink, and I use their Muscle Milk too for recovery. It helps to get some protein in after training.

Hitman shorts / shirt

Hitman Fight Gear keep my wardrobe cool. They give me immense gear; I’m very thankful for that. They’ve given me a lot of support so a big shout out to them.

Fight-worn UFC gloves

I needed a pair of gloves to train in. We wear out a lot of gloves and every time we fight we get given a pair of gloves, so after every fight I bring a pair back and will wear them out after a while! I’ll go back and get another pair, you know? It’s a shame to wear the ones from a fight out — maybe I should start putting them aside instead. Right now I wear them out, throw them out and get the new ones!

Everlast knuckle pads

I’ve had both my hands broken, so I like those gel pads a lot to protect my hands. I wrap over the top of them, I’ve cut the pad off the wrapping, I feel it fits better that way. They keep my knuckles safe — I like them a lot.

Vaseline

I had a bad cut recently. Even with Vaseline and headgear you can still get cut, but at least with Vaseline it keeps the skin moist and lets the punches slide off — especially when I’ve got a cut healing up.
