UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva is a serious fighter, but away from the Octagon he’s a petrolhead who loves soccer, paintball, and video games.  

How would you describe your style of fashion? What kind of brands / labels do you like to wear?  

I like to dress properly, depending on the occasion. Sometimes I might wear a suit, but I like Nike a lot, and also Silver Star.

Do you dress differently when you’re in Brazil to when you’re in America?  

No, I dress the same wherever I go.  

When you go to big events where lots of people will see you, do you like to dress for the occasion?  

It depends on the event, but I like to dress well. Sometimes I’ll just wear a T-shirt with jeans.  

What cars / motorbikes do you own?  

I have a V6 2.7liter Land Rover Discovery 3, a Range Rover, a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro and a Yamaha YZF-R1. I used to have a 2008 Honda CBR 600.  

Which is your favorite?  

I like them all, but the motorcycle is my baby.  

You’re a big fan of video games. What system do you own, and what is your favorite game?  

I like the Playstation 3. Like everyone else, right now I am playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. I play a lot with my friends, but also alone. It’s a good way to relax.  

Do you have a lot of gadgets? If so, which is your favorite?  

I’ve got a few, but I really like my PSP. I can play games, listen to music and watch movies. 

When you go traveling, what is the one thing you always take with you?  

My PSP: It helps to pass the time when hanging around.

Married with four children, Anderson needs a big house. In 2007 he purchased a home in his native Curitiba. At 2,500 square feet, it has four bedrooms and two bathrooms, but the real attraction is the 1.75 acres of land it comes with. Like most Brazilians, Silva is soccer-crazy, and The Spider has a pitch of his own in his backyard! Maybe that’s where his footwork comes from…
