Believe it or not, many misguided pundits (and even plenty of fans) predicted this was going to be a classic striker vs grappler match. Nine of Terry Etim’s ten career wins going into this fight were by way of submission, and the talented kickboxer Sam Stout was expected to dominate the stand-up. Few people thought that Etim (a world-class Muay Thai practitioner) would stand a chance against his Canadian opponent, but the 21-year-old Englishman took it to him over three rounds and walked away with a comfortable decision victory.
