Issue 049

May 2009

A veteran of over 30 fights across three continents, Nate Marquardt built his name fighting in Japan, before signing with the UFC in 2005. With nine appearances in the Octagon he has become one of the organisation’s top middleweight fighters. He lost to Anderson Silva in 2007, but has been hungrily working toward another title shot ever since. Crushing the tough Wilson Gouveia at UFC 95, Marquardt took one step closer to that second shot at Silva.
