Amidst all of the madness of UFC 237 (read about it here!) UFC President Dana White dropped a bomb of a match-up on Twitter.

According to White, Nate Diaz is set to return to MMA to fight Anthony Pettis at UFC 241 inside the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, on August 17th.

ESPN’s Ariel Helwani later confirmed that the fight will be contested at welterweight. Pettis made his debut in the weightclass in his last Octagon outing, knocking out Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson with a superman punch.

No bout agreements have yet been signed, but both fighters have agreed to the fight.

The fight will be featured as a co-main event, with the card’s headline act set as Daniel Cormier’s UFC heavyweight title defence against former champion Stipe Miocic – a rematch.
