Knockouts don’t come any later, more unconventional or more spectacular than that of Yair Rodriguez’s on Chan Sung Jung.
In what is surely destined to feature in every UFC highlight reel for years to come, Yair Rodriguez broke convention to deliver what was described by Dana White as “the craziest finish ever”. The ‘upward elbow’ blow was delivered in the final second of the last round of a monumental fight that Rodriguez was significantly losing on points to Korean legend Chan Sung Jung. The ‘Zombie’ later stated that he was ashamed of the loss, but neither fighter had anything to apologize for as they laid everything on the line to richly entertain MMA fans worldwide as well as staking a massive claim for a potential World MMA Award nomination in 2019.
