As the UFC turns 25, these are the combatants who have racked up the most battles inside the Octagon

Jim Miller Miller holds the record for most UFC bouts in the organization’s history. The New Jersey native fought 30 times (18-11 and 1 NC). The youngest of three boys, his elder sibling, Dan was also a UFC fighter.

Michael Bisping The UK’s most successful fighter to date, Bisping fought 29 times before retiring earlier this year. A middleweight champion, he might have continued but for eye injuries inflicted by Vitor Belfort.

Jeremy Stephens To those who do not know “who the fook” Jeremy Stephens is, he, like Bisping, has had 29 bouts. The Iowa-born featherweight was famously heckled by Conor McGregor but he’s no stranger to the Octagon.

Donald Cerrone “Cowboy” is a fan favorite for his easy way with other fighters and willingness to fight anywhere. With 28 UFC bouts to date, he probably has the best chance of surpassing Jim Miller’s record tally.

Demian Maia As a highly accomplished BJJ practitioner, Maia, to many, has the best ground game in the UFC. He also holds a record of 28 fights and is currently ranked 7th in the UFC welterweight division.

Diego Sanchez Sanchez has almost as many nicknames as fights (28) and won the middleweight tournament of the first Ultimate Fighter series. Now a welterweight, he is one of the UFC’s most entertaining characters.

Gleison Tibau The Brazilian lightweight, who has 28 bouts to his name (16-11), has a background in BJJ and wrestling. He was competing at 15 and now trains at American Top Team and is a free agent.

Andrei Arlovski The Pitbull is a former UFC heavyweight champion who has 28 bouts to his name. The Belarusian, who was bullied as boy, began his martial arts career in Sambo, after joining the police academy in Minsk.
