Dominick Cruz may once again fight another member of Team Alpha Male as all signs point to a title defence being lined up as the co-main event for UFC 207 against number six ranked Cody Garbrandt.

Following his victorious trilogy fight with Urijah Faber this past May at UFC 199, the leading pack of bantamweight contenders have been jockeying for position to get the next crack at ‘The Dominator’. While Bryan Caraway and #1 ranked TJ Dillashaw have been making plenty of noise, it appears undefeated 10-0 Garbrandt will get the next shot.

Torque Sports & Performance, owned by TAM captain Faber and who also sponsor Garbrandt, posted on its Instagram that ‘No Love’ would challenge Cruz for the belt at UFC 207, but subsequently deleted the post.

It was a little too late, however, as the internet was able to screenshot it and it is now available to view on imgur.

The post reads: “Let’s go! Our guy Cody Garbrandt is fighting for the UFC bantamweight world title! So pumped for this fight and can’t wait to watch him get that belt!”

Cruz then also followed up on Instagram by posting a picture of him landing punches on both Urijah Faber and TJ Dillashaw, cryptically stating the word ‘Next’ perhaps alluding to Garbrandt being the next member of Team Alpha Male he would be fighting.

UFC 207 is booked for Las Vegas on December 30th and will be headlined by Ronda Rousey challenging Amanda Nunes for the women’s bantamweight title. Earlier today it was confirmed former heavyweight champions Cain Velasquez and Fabricio Werdum would also collide on the main card.
