DC and Marvel may want to give Miesha Tate a call and make her an offer for their next big superhero movie as the former women’s UFC bantamweight champion proved to be a real life hero this past weekend.

Whilst on a hike in Las Vegas on Sunday, Tate came to the aid of a six-year-old girl named Kai who had broken her arm at the top of a mountain. As the parents started their 2.6 mile walk down the climb, Tate carried Kai down to safety.

Taking to Instagram the parents described the situation and Tate’s actions. “Such a crazy labor day weekend for our family, but ended in such an amazing and beautiful way. My poor Kai broke her arm at the top of the Mary Jane Falls hike at Mt Charleston. I basically had to carry her down miles ahead.

“To our rescue and assistance came the amazing Miesha Tate the UFC fighter. She offered to help us carry her down the mountain. Such an amazing and humble person to have met. Our family can’t thank you enough for all the help. You saved us easily hours of hiking and helped us get her to the hospital sooner. Thank you again.”

Tate then also took to Instagram to share her experience as well as using it as a response to anyone who thinks her muscles don’t equate to beauty.

“Tear jerker! Meet Kai the sweet little girl that kept me company down the mountain side, very upbeat despite her broken arm. And I just have to say this was one of the most rewarding days of my athletic career. And I also want to make a point that I have been told many times that I am “too buff” or “manly” that I should stop lifting weights, that it’s “gross” and not attractive for a woman.

“I am so happy I never listened to the limitations others wanted to put on me and I hope that our youth knows that don’t have to conform. That strength and beauty come from within!”

Tate is looking to rebound from her title fight loss to Amanda Nunes, which headlined UFC 200, but if good deeds are worth anything in this world perhaps a straight rematch isn’t out of the question now, eh UFC?
