Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson has had the date of his Bellator return confirmed. The former UFC champ will face Satoshi Ishii in the main event of Bellator: Dynamite 2 on June 24th at Scottrade Center in St. Louis.
The contest will be held at a catchweight of 215lb – 10lb above Rampage’s usual light heavyweight weight class.
Rampage has been out of action since making his UFC return at UFC 186 in April last year due to an ongoing legal dispute with Bellator. But, after finally settling terms with the Scott Coker-led promotion earlier this year, Jackson will be competing under the Bellator banner at least twice more.
Ishii is a 29-year-old 2008 Olympic gold medal judoka in the +100 kg division. The Japanese athlete last competed at the inaugural Rizin Fighting Federation event, losing to Jiri Prochazka via KO. He holds notable wins over Tim Sylvia, Jerome le Banner and Pedro Rizzo.
