Japan has all the pageantry, pomp and circumstance for the holidays, but when it all comes down to it, all we really want are fights like this.

This rematch for the 155lb title had everything in five rounds of back-and-forth action that makes a cagefighting classic. High-amplitude takedowns, adrenalin-sapping submission attempts and calculator-breaking striking combinations created a legendary fight on their own, never mind the fact they all came about after Edgar survived a severe smashing in round one to launch one of the most inspirational comebacks ever seen inside the eight walls of the Octagon.

After five rounds, the judges couldn’t separate the pair and a draw was called. Both fighters reacted like they’d lost, but everyone who watched felt like they’d won.
