Newly-crowned Brave CF lightweight champion Abdisalam Kubanychbek returned home to Kyrgyszstan, where he was greeted like a hero after capturing the undisputed lightweight title at Brave CF 69.
Kubanychbek defeated Dagestani contender Kamil Magomedov in the main event in Belgrade, Serbia to upgrade his interim title to the undisputed version at the Stark Arena as the Bahraini promotion closed out a packed week of fights in the Serbian capital.
And, after being crowned undisputed champ, Kubanychbek went back home to his native Kyrgyzstan with his newly-won championship belt in tow.
The fans were out in force as he was given a hero's reception after touching down at Bishkek Airport, where he was met by a huge crowd, who presented him with gifts, including traditional Kyrgyz bread and other treats indigenous to the Central Asian nation.
Kubanychbek posed for selfies and chatted with fans before he and his team put on some traditional Kyrgyzs cloaks and Ak-Kalpak hats for a special team photo at the airport.
It marked a remarkable landmark for the Kyrgysztan fighter, who made his Brave CF debut in Bishkek back in December 2019 at Brave CF 32.
That night, “Omok” claimed victory on his debut, before embarking on an undefeated run that took him all the way to the undisputed championship.
