The co-main event of UFC 293 will see two heavyweight contenders keen to make a statement as they bid to gatecrash the title picture.
Australian slugger Tai Tuivasa's larger-than-life personality and fan-friendly fighting style has made him a hit with UFC watchers around the world, but his recent form has taken a hit, courtesy of back-to-back losses to fellow contenders Sergei Pavlovich and Ciryl Gane.
Prior to those defeats, "Bam Bam" won five in a row to go from mid-card crowd-pleaser to legitimate contender, and the Aussie plans on returning to that form when he faces longtime Russian contender Alexander Volkov in Sydney.
While Tuivasa is on a two-fight skid, Volkov is on a two-fight win streak, thanks to TKO finishes of Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Alexandr Romanov. Now he's aiming to make it three in a row with victory in Tuivasa's back yard.
Ahead of the bout, the UFC's Countdown cameras caught up with both fighters, and their teams, as they made their final preparations for their middleweight matchup. Check it out via the video player below.
