Jalin ‘The Tarantula’ Turner vs Renato Moicano has been added the stacked UFC 300 on April 13th.

The Lightweights are the latest addition to the card, which will see 3 title fights and a host of top ranked athletes compete.

2024 marks Moicano’s tenth year in the UFC, amassing a solid 10-5 promotional record in that time. He enters the bout on the back on an impressive unanimous decision win against Drew Dober at UFC Vegas 85, after over a year out of the cage.

His last bout, prior to the Dober contest, came at UFC 281 where he picked up a first round rear naked choke win against Brad Riddell.

After an impressive 5 fight win streak over the space of two years, Turner came unstuck at UFC 285 when he faced Mateusz Gamrot. After a tough back and forth, Turner found himself on the losing side of a bout for the first time in 4 years, when Gamrot was handed the split decision.

'The Tarantula' then faced Dan Hooker four months later in what once again was an incredibly close and extremely exciting affair. The pair went to war over the 15 minutes, with Hooker just doing enough in two of the three judges' eyes to secure the win.

On a two fight skid for the first time in his UFC career, Turner was desperately keen to turn things round before 2023 was out and took on Bobby Green in December. Not only did the 28-year-old return to the win column, but he done so in emphatic style; viscously knocking out Green in just over half a round.

The Lightweight contest will feature on the preliminary portion of the UFC 300 card, which is set to be headlined by Light Heavyweight champion Alex Pereira facing the former champion Jamahal Hill, with the first all Chinese women's UFC title fight between Weili Zhang and Xiaonan Yan serving as the co-main event.

Elsewhere on the card, Justin Gaethje will look to defend his BMF title against the dangerous Max Holloway at 155lbs, Bo Nickal will look to continue his rise through the Middleweight division against Cody Brundage, Kayla Harrison will make her promotional debut against Holly Holm and Charles Oliveira will take on Arman Tsarukyan to likely decide who will be the next man to face Lightweight champion Islam Makhachev.
