Andy Clamp realised his dream after over a decade in the sport as he was crowned the new Cage Warriors Light Heavyweight champion and Liam Gittins successfully defended his Bantamweight strap at Cage Warriors 168.

Heading into the main event, the grappling of Clamp was always going to be the challenge Matthew Byfield was going to have to work around. 'The Vice' lived up to his name and made sure the bout, when on the ground, was his.

Appearing to wear Byfield down, Clamp got the finish in the third round and was crowned the new Cage Warriors Light Heavyweight Champion,

In the co-main event, Luke Riley managed to extend his professional record to 9-0 with a unanimous decision win against John de Jesus. De Jesus proved to be a tricky customer but the Next Generation man managed to negate any danger, until the last few seconds of the contest, to implement his game and get the nod from all three judges.

De Jesus' illusive movements meant Riley couldn't get in another war, so the 24-year-old managed the contest well and unloaded with huge power punches as and when the opportunities presented themselves.

After two comfortable rounds, Riley continued to pile on the pressure but after getting caught with a knee in the last minute, Riley cleverly avoided the onslaught from the American to claim the win.

James Power got himself back in the win column with a unanimous decision win over the unorthodox Gianluca Rocca, with a unanimous decision.

Adam Cullen fell to 7-2 in a closely contest bout against the undefeated Harel Cohen. After looking comfortable in the first round, the Liverpudlian got caught with a nasty elbow that opened up a cut just above his eye in the second as Cohen pushed the pace and took a split decision win.

Liam Gittins defended his Bantamweight title successfully against Roberto Hernandez with a fifth round submission win. The two went to war trading heavy throughout but it was ultimately Gittins' body strikes that secured the win when he wore his opponent down and managed to get the rear naked choke.

There were also wins for Antonio Sheldon, Mario Mingaj, Fran Breen, Michelangelo Lupoli, Andy Yates, Tom Nicholls and Alessandro Giordano.
