Cris Cyborg appears to be swapping the cage for the ring, once again.
Per a press release from Crypto Fight Night, the former UFC and Bellator Champion will compete in a four round boxing match on June 15 at Indigo at The O2.
Ahead of the bout, Cyborg has expressed her excitement to finally compete in Europe. She said:
"I am excited to fight in Europe for the first time.
"Everyone knows my MMA fighting style is violent and I'm looking forward to bringing that same style into the boxing ring at CFN OFF-CHAIN 1 on June 15."
The announcement of the bout comes just days after the Brazilian took to social media to suggest that she is yet to hear anything from PFL since their acquisition of Bellator late last year.
It is unclear as to who mixed martial arts legend will face inside the ring at the time of writing but it has been confirmed that the bout will take place over four two-minute rounds and in 10-ounce gloves.
CRYPTO FIGHT NIGHT Founder, Rahul Suri is delighted with the announcement and sees Cyborg appearing on the card as a monumental move for the promotion. He said:
“We are stoked to bring to the UK the world’s best female MMA fighter, Cris Cyborg, competing in the double main event at CFN OFF-CHAIN 1 in London, her first ever bout in Europe. It’s going to be a massive moment for us, the fans, and the community.
