Fans tuned into UFC Vegas 99 expecting an all-action middleweight main event between Anthony Hernandez and Michel Pereira.
However, it was quickly apparent that the relentless style of "Fluffy" was going to be a nightmare for the explosive and dynamic Pereira.
Hernandez was able to dominate the fight and smother the Brazilian, keeping a high pace to eventually find the finish in the fourth round.
Rob Font returned to the win column in the co-main event of the evening by pulling off the upset against Kyler Phillips.
Charles Johnson earned a staggering fourth win in 2024 by defeating Sumudaerji via decision on a card that features just two finishes.
Hernandez took home a bonus for his main event finish, as did Darren Elkins and Daniel Pineda for fight of the night in the main card opener.
The other main card offering was won by late notice replacement Cameron Smotherman who got the win over Jake Hadley on his Octagon debut.
