The UFC is back at the Apex once again this weekend as two middleweights that are used to getting their opponents out of their take top billing.

UFC Vegas 99 sees top 15-ranked contenders at 185-pounds meet for the first time as Brazil's Michel Pereira takes on Mexico's Anthony Hernandez.

Hernandez last fought in February following a cancelled fight with Roman Dolidze and this bout with Pereira being rebooked from UFC 306.

"Fluffy" has three consecutive finishes in his five-fight winning streak which has been defined by his relentless work rate and output that he uses to break opponents down.

This will be crucial to getting the win against the always explosive and dynamic Pereira who has really hit his stride with eight consecutive wins inside the Octagon that are split across both welterweight and middleweight.

He's currently riding the momentum of three consecutive wins and finishes at middleweight where each performance has earned him a bonus.

The co-main event sees top 15 bantamweights collide as Kyler Phillips looks to pick up a big win over Rob Font so that he can break into the top 10 as Font tries to bounce back from consecutive losses.

Bantamweights also feature on the main card as England's Jake Hadley looks to continue the momentum from his Manchester win over Caolan Loughran by securing a second victory at 135-pounds over Brady Hiestand who has won his last three.

Hadley's former opponent, Charles Johnson, is also back facing Sumudaerji at flyweight where "InnerG" looks to continue his remarkable form in 2024 by earning his fourth consecutive win this year.

Darren Elkins vs. Daniel Pineda rounds out the main card with the picks of the prelims being Matheus Nicolau vs. Asu Almabayev and Brad Katona vs. Jean Matsumoto.

UFC Vegas 99 is live on October 19 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
