A long break from live events for the MMA leader means that the holiday and new year period is a great time to check out some other promotions or revisit some classic cards.

The UFC is offering fight fans the opportunity to do just that via the promotion's YouTube channel which recently featured a live event replay.

Going under the spotlight this time around was UFC 140 that took place on December 10 in 2011.

At the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Jon Jones made his return in the main event to defend his light heavyweight title for the second time.

With Rashad Evans unable to make the required turnaround, former champion Lyoto Machida stepped in to challenge "Bones".

The fight ended with one of Jones' most iconic finishes as he choked out Machida in the second round and let go of him when the referee waved the fight off.

A second signature submission was delivered in the co-main event where Frank Mir defeated Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira via kimura.

Nogueira's twin brother had a more succesful night as he stopped Tito Ortiz in the first round.

The night's other statement finish came courtesy of Chan Sung Jung as "The Korean Zombie" opened the main card with a seven-second knockout over Mark Hominick.

With just three of 12 fights going to a decision, this is certainly a card that is worth revisiting with it's fair share of iconic moments.

Ending the night with one of Jones' best wins during his iconic light heavyweight title reign means that there are worse ways to spend an evening than in the company of UFC 140.
