The PFL faced a huge undertaking in 2024 following the promotion's acquisition which led to a huge increase in the size of their roster.

Though there have been some teething issues along the way, this major change in the MMA landscape has resulted in the best year to date for the PFL when it comes to the action inside the cage.

As 2024 comes to a close, the promotion offered fans a look back at some of the best fights to have taken place inside the Smart Cage this year with a top 5 highlights compilation.

Kicking things off is the light heavyweight contest between last year's champion and the first ever PFL Europe winner at 205-pounds.

In June at the Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City, Impa Kasanganay overcame a strong start to the fight from Jakob Nedoh to stop the Slovenian in the second round.

Up next is the breakthrough moment for Ireland's Paul Hughes who became just the second man to defeat the former Bellator featherweight champion, AJ McKee.

His massive victory and performance at Battle of the Giants in October set "Big News" up for his upcoming Bellator lightweight title fight with Usman Nurmagomedov next month.

Also taking place on the card that took went down in Salt Lake City this past June was the wild brawl between two Brazilian sluggers.

Bruno Miranda overcame Patricky Pitbull following some incredible exchanges from the two fast and frantic lightweights.

The #2-spot goes to one of the biggest fights of the year in the PFL as Cris Cyborg further cemented her legendary status by beating Larissa Pacheco at Battle of the Giants.

There may not be crazy highlights in this one but what you instead get is a high-level and high stakes clash between two of the best in the world where Cyborg looked a step ahead.

Last but certainly not least is a fight that may be the fight of the year across MMA in 2024 period let alone in the PFL.

Lewis McGrillen vs Dean Garnett at PFL Europe 3 in Glasgow is one of the craziest fights you're likely to see with constant knockdowns and a back and forth momentum that is like a rollercoaster that you never want to jump off.

Ending with another signature McGrillen one-punch knockout before he went on to become the 2024 PFL Europe bantamweight champion is a moment that fight fans won't forget in a hurry.
