Some statistical evidence to support/contradict how

you feel 'The Eagle' has fared in recent fights

Perhaps because his wrestling is so obviously awesome, the consensus has always been that Khabib's weakness must be in his striking game. The other possibility is that he doesn't have a weakness. He certainly took everything Conor McGregor had to throw at him without flinching and managed to land some telling shots of his own. The stats show he threw a lot of missed shots against Al Iaquinta, but he also threw an awful lot that landed in rounds three and four in particular. Mull over the stats we've supplied here, but anyone hoping for an early Khabib defeat won't find much encouragement here.

DUSTIN POIRIER

Loss (Submission)

Pre-fight analysis of styles went out of the window as Khabib simply overwhelmed his opponent. Yes, he was tagged a couple of times, but to no great effect.

CONOR MCGREGOR

Loss (Submission)

All the talk ahead of the fight was about McGregor's superior striking, but in the event, Khabib proved the Irishman's equal in the stand-up before destroying him on the floor.

AL IAQUINTA

Loss (Unanimous)

Late stand-in Iaquinta did well to go the distance and although he landed a couple of decent shots on Khabib, he never looked like troubling him on his feet.
