Bloodied and beaten but never broken, McGregor and Diaz fight for five to set up round three.
Despite the insults, the mean-mugging and the bottle-throwing, Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz couldn’t help but embrace after their five-round epic. No men can go through the kind of 25-minute war they did at UFC 202 and leave the cage without that kind of unmitigated respect for their opponent. And now their fight series is tied at 1-1, the only natural way to put a bow on things is to set up a blockbusting rubber match. Whether it’s before the year is out, or further down the road, we can’t wait to see them hit each other one more time.
