The fight was billed as a pick-em title eliminator, but in reality, it was a welterweight mismatch in Ottawa as Stephen Thompson outclassed Rory MacDonald to claim his seventh straight win and put himself in pole position for a shot at the belt. This shot captures the moment ‘Wonderboy’ landed a left hand flush on the face of an almost unrecognizable ‘Red king’ in the main event of UFC Fight Night 89, en route to a one-sided judges’ decision. No wonder the Canadian struggled with another badly broken nose.
