Better late than never

After Jon Jones’ latest tickets for drag racing, exhibition driving, weaving, failing to properly display his license plate and modifying his exhaust pipe, he took steps to stay out of more vehicular trouble by hiring his nutritionist, Lou Giordano, to be his full-time driver.

Fair city fight night

The UFC will return to Dana White’s favorite fight town for a third consecutive year this fall. Provided the traditional Emerald Isle injury curse doesn’t strike again, it’s hoped the 2016 Dublin Fight Night will feature Tristar lightweight Joe Duffy on the main card with support from SBG Ireland’s own Paddy Holohan.

Natural decision

Randy Couture has admitted he considered an offer from an unnamed major MMA promotion to come out of retirement last year when Fedor Emelianenko announced his comeback. However, the 52-year-old decided his best years were behind him and was happy with his career.

Show stopper

Industry buzz suggests Georges St Pierre was reluctant to make his return for a fight with Robbie Lawler, but was eager for a super-fight with Nate Diaz or Conor McGregor at UFC 200. His comeback was put on hold when those two were matched up for the event’s featured attraction.
