Francis Ngannou’s jab busts up the eye of Curtis Blaydes en route to a TKO stoppage in Zagreb

In a classic striker vs. grappler match, the puncher has to take his chance on the feet and make sure he’s not held down. France’s Francis Ngannou did just that against the USA’s Curtis Blaydes at UFC Fight Night 86. He popped up when he was taken to the mat and hit his target. He mashed his fist into ‘Razor’s mush when he was standing until it was a swollen, bloody mess. His eye was so wrecked, the American could only try to feel the doctor’s hands to count the fingers he was holding up. If anything proves it’s time to stop the fight, it’s that.
