You’ve seen Jess Impiazzi carry cards for British promotion BAMMA, now she’s come to FO for one more round
Q: Readers may recognize you from MTV’s Ex On The Beach, but how did you get involved with BAMMA UK?
A: Even though I still sometimes have to cover my eyes, I’ve always loved mixed martial arts, so when the opportunity to get involved with BAMMA came up, I jumped at the chance. I already knew some of the team and was fully aware of how hard they work and what they’re achieving with the BAMMA brand. I wanted to do the same.
Q: What’s the best thing about being a BAMMA Belle?
A: For a start, I absolutely I love the outfit (laughs). Seriously though, I think it’s just the passion within the fighters and the organizers, it really shows. And there’s always an amazing atmosphere, BAMMA have such a great fan base.
Q: Any funny stories taken place whilst working a live event yet?
A: I’ve been quite lucky! I’ve not had anything too bad happen. I tripped (only a little) whilst strutting my stuff once but that’s standard for me as I’m pretty clumsy, so expect the answer to this question to change soon enough.
Q: Who is your favorite fighter?
A: I don’t really like to pick favorites as they are all such good athletes and train so hard. But if I had to pick one, I’d say Colin Fletcher. I do love how the ‘Freakshow’ enters the cage, so just for that reason he’s my fave.
Q: What interests do you have outside of cage?
A: I guess some people wouldn’t ever think this but I do love writing, I’ve been working on a book for about two years now. Other than that I love watching rugby and football, and playing Mortal Kombat on the PS4.
Q: What plans do you have for the future? Any exciting projects lined up?
A: I’ve got a few things in the pipeline. I’m hoping to do a bit more reality TV but I’m actually working on my own gymwear line, which is really exciting. Of course I’ll be doing my upmost best to represent as a BAMMA Belle and make sure I get nominated for ‘Ringcard Girl of the Year’ at the World MMA Awards too.
