Palhares ‘needs help’

World Series of Fighting vice president Ali Abdel-Aziz says his organization’s former 170lb champion, Rousimar Palhares, should hang up his gloves until he finds “some serious help.” ‘Toquinho’ was stripped of his title after his last fight, in which he held onto a kimura long after Jake Shields tapped out.

Bellator to hit the road 

Bellator MMA president Scott Coker has revealed the organization will take its cage overseas in 2016. He says: “We’re in the process of deciding where we’re going to go, but these international shows are going to be off the hook and I’m really excited.” Coker added he hopes the promotion will stage up to 24 events next year.

CM Punk for UFC 200?

The eagerly awaited MMA debut of CM Punk is rumored to be on hold until next July’s marquee UFC 200 event. The former WWE champion followed in the footsteps of Brock Lesnar by ditching the squared circle for the Octagon last December, and he’s been at Team Roufusport in Milwaukee honing his skills ever since.
