Bones' Big Apple return?

After avoiding a jail term for a hit-and-run in April, Jon Jones is set to make his return in 2016 and with a maiden trip to New York’s Madison Square Garden on the agenda, the iconic arena could be set to welcome back the former light heavyweight champ. Jones said last year it would be a “dream come true” to fight there. 

Dynamite 1 leaves a hole

Bellator’s next Dynamite event is unlikely to look the same next year after co-promotion parnter Glory Kickboxing headed into the final month of its Spike TV contract without a fresh deal. Talks were ongoing at time of going to print, but industry insiders believe Viacom-owned Spike may start its own kickboxing promotion instead.

Rousey vs. Cyborg on hold

Ronda Rousey’s highly anticipated women’s super-fight with Cris ‘Cyborg’ Justino is the latest scrap rumored to be on hold until UFC 200 next July. The proposed showdown hit a stumbling block this year after Cyborg failed to prove she could make the 135lb bantamweight limit. Her next fight in November is at 140lb.

Is Bisping in The Spider's web?

Anderson Silva could make his return in April in his hometown of Curitiba, Brazil against Michael Bisping. The fight may land on the same card as the mooted Fabricio Werdum vs. Cain Velasquez heavyweight title rematch. Bisping, who first meets Robert Whittaker at UFC 193 in Melbourne, Australia said: “Just leave the viagra out and I’m in.”
