Showing flashes of the halcyon days of Pride, Bellator: Dynamite explodes into life.
With indoor fireworks, Lenne Hardt on the PA system and Fedor Emelianenko on the main stage, Bellator’s first Dynamite showcase was straight out of the Pride playbook. Whether the mix of MMA and kickboxing actually worked is a matter up for debate, but the show felt a little special and even the most cynical of MMA’s hardcore fanbase couldn’t resist a smile at CEO Scott Coker’s grandiose vision for the event. What do they say? Go big or go home.
