Fighters Only : UFC 314 Weigh-In Result: One Fighter Misses The Mark

The early weigh-ins took place today at the UFC host hotel in Miami, Florida for UFC 314, which takes place at the Kaseya Center on Saturday night.

The card is set to be headlined by a five-round fight for the featherweight title between former champion Alexander Volkanovski (26-5 MMA, 13-4 UFC) and surging contender Diego Lopes (26-6 MMA, 5-1 UFC).

Ilia Topuria is still the official UFC featherweight champion, but that will cease to be the case the moment the first punch is thrown between Volkanovski and Lopes on Saturday, according to UFC CEO Dana White.

Both fighters successfully hit the championship limit of 145 pounds on the scale and the bout will go ahead as planned.

In the co-main event, former Bellator champion Michael Chandler (23-9 MMA, 2-4 UFC) and UK standout Paddy Pimblett face off in a five-round lightweight fight, and both fighters hit the 156-pound mark with ease.

French veteran Nora Cornolle (8-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC) missed the bantamweight limit for her bout against Hailey Cowan (7-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) by two pounds and will be fined a percentage of her purse as a result.
