Georges St Pierre is the best pound-for-pound fighter. We have to drop Silva now. If he really cheated, we can’t set this example for the youth. It’s ridiculous. Is Lance Armstrong considered the best cyclist of all time? No. A few years ago, the answer would have been different. It’s horrible for the sport this has occurred, but Lance Armstrong has not helped the sport of cycling. A lot of people were inspired by his story and afterwards we find out that it’s a lie. Here, we’re going through something similar in our sport. Georges passed the tests of VADA (Voluntary Anti-Doping Association), the best agency. All his tests are public.

Marlon Moraes

WSOF bantamweight champion

NO

I don’t believe so. Anderson Silva will always remain one of the greatest fighters to ever compete in the sport. The thing is when you take something that makes you a great fighter you’re going to keep on taking it. However, you’ve also got to have the skill-set inside yourself and be true to God and it wasn’t like this for him. I think he was a great fighter and he achieved a lot. He will always be a great fighter, but it’s very bad what he did and I think he has to be treated the same way they treat everybody else within the sport who fails a test.

What you had to say on the matter...

YES

“how can it not - questions will always remain as to whether he was juiced when he fought before or not now.”

@coopa1079

“Yes, same thing happened to Lance Armstrong when we found out he was using PED’s throughout his success.”

NO

“Loved for creativity. Steroids don’t make you more creative and technique crisper. That said, no one likes a cheat.”

@djwalker24

“He’s still the GOAT, he’s just one of many fighters doping, the others just haven’t been caught yet #onlyidiotsfaildrugtests.”
