MMA’s most sought-after grappling coach, Pancrase Submission Wrestling world champion Ricky Lundell shows you how to tighten up your ground game with former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir



1. Ricky grabs a single collar tie with his right hand and has control of Frank’s right bicep with his left.



2. Still holding onto the single collar tie and bicep control, Ricky raises his right leg and wraps it around Frank’s right thigh.



3. Ricky releases his grip on Frank’s bicep and grabs the back of his right knee. He then swings his left leg between Frank’s legs and locks in a triangle as he drops to the mat.



4. Ricky extends his hips, causing Frank to hit the mat. Ricky keeps his knee pinched to make sure Frank isn’t able to scoot away and turns his body so he’s lying face down. He hooks Frank’s right heel with his right hand, grabs his right wrist with his left hand and falls onto his side to torque and finish the submission.

NOTE: 

Ricky underhooks the back of Frank’s left ankle while he’s on the mat so he can’t step back and pull his leg out of the heel hook.
