With rumors rife about a possible return to the Octagon for the former UFC heavyweight champion, we ask the MMA universe...
YES
Joe Rogan
UFC commentator
The chances of Brock coming back to the UFC are pretty good. I think Brock has a lot of unfinished business inside the Octagon. I don’t think he’s entirely happy with the way his MMA career ended: the Cain Velasquez loss, the Alistair Overeem loss, then the diverticulitis and all the stomach surgeries. And, you know, it takes a long time to recover from stuff like that. And now he’s fully recovered from all that and he’s in fantastic shape once again then who knows what might happen. He’s certainly thinking about it and you can’t deny what he did the first time around, but there is a window of time where he has to pull that trigger and we are in that now. If he decides to pull that trigger then it’s going to be fascinating.

No, I don’t think Brock could come back to MMA and still be a success. The game is evolving every single day and the level of competition has increased since he retired from the sport. You can’t just be a big guy who simply bullies his opponents around, you need to have more than that in your skill-set. Also, during the time he’s been away I’m not sure he’s improved in the certain areas he needs to to make a real impact in the sport. We’ve seen what happens with fighters who have taken time out from fighting for a long time. When they return they realize that a couple years out of the game and it will pass you by.
WHAT YOU HAD TO SAY ON THE MATTER...
Yes: “If he goes to the right camp like ATT or AKA and work on other aspects of MMA. The monster would be back.”
@bigloveabove
No: “No way. He quits when the fight is not going his way. I don’t believe he could beat any of the top 5 heavyweights.”
@robinson91
No: “I don’t think so, the heavyweight division is much better in the UFC and Brock just isn’t used to getting hit.”
@GoRdO_vi
No: “Absolutely not. His disease severely diminished his MMA career longevity. If he hasn’t come back by now, he may never.”
