Ice-T reveals Jungle Fight role

Rapper-turned-actor Ice T has narrated a documentary about Brazilian MMA pioneer Wallid Ismail and his Jungle Fight organization. The film, which is called Enter The Jungle will focus on the Amazonian promotion and everything it takes to get the show together.

“You need to watch this movie,” Ice T told his fans. “If there’s no other reason to watch this, I just got finished narrating it. It’s going to be good. Don’t miss it.”

The gangsta rap pioneer has been a long supporter of mixed martial arts and has been seen in the front row of major UFC events in Las Vegas alongside his wife, Nicole ‘CoCo’ Austin.

Dillashaw vs. Cruz in February or March

The highly-anticipated bantamweight title fight between current 135lb champ TJ Dillashaw and former champion Dominick Cruz is rumored to go ahead early next year. According to reports, the champion, who is coming off elbow surgery, is looking to face Cruz around February or March. Dillashaw took the strap from Renan Barao thanks to a virtuoso performance at UFC 173. He defended it against late replacement and former Bellator featherweight champion Joe Soto at UFC 177.

After spending nearly three years on the sidelines due to consecutive knee injuries and a groin tear, ‘The Dominator’ made his triumphant return to the Octagon at UFC 178, when he crushed bantamweight division gatekeeper Takeya Mizugaki within 61 seconds of the first round.

Bellator driving motocross events

Bellator MMA is looking to put more fights alongside supercross events competition after the success of its October show at the Monster Energy Cup in Las Vegas. The promotion held a low-key, three-fight card, which included a heavyweight main event between Dan Charles and James Wilson. Despite the lack of promotion for the event, Bellator president Scott Coker believes the show was a success.

“It was like Woodstock meets MMA,” he told MMAJunkie. “I think it was well-received. It was my first time at a motocross event, and I walked in and saw all the different events happening. People were fighting their way out of the stadium to go watch the fights.”

Chael Sonnen rejected $5 million WWE offer

Everyone’s favorite gangster from the mean streets of West Linn, Oregon, claims he was once offered a lucrative contract by the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment). Chael Sonnen, who is a lifelong pro wrestling fan, said: “I was offered $5 million by (WWE chairman and CEO) Vince McMahon,” he said on his You’re Welcome! With Chael Sonnen podcast. “Now, I was still under contract with the UFC and I never took this to Dana. I handled it on my own. I told (WWE), ‘No’ and that was the end of that.”
