Jimmy Pedro is one of the world’s top judo coaches. His ex students include UFC star Ronda Rousey. With the help of black belt Riley McIlwain, the USA Olympic team head coach presents the best judo moves for MMA

1. Riley shoots a double leg on Jimmy, but Jimmy slides his left foot underneath Riley’s left armpit so it’s on the outside of Riley’s left leg.

2. Jimmy pulls Riley’s upper body towards him by using underhooks. NOTE: If you’re not in a position to use underhooks, then try using a chin whip (grab the chin) instead to hold onto your opponent.

3. Riley drives forward off of his left leg to try and complete the double leg takedown, but Jimmy raises the leg he’d placed on the outside at the same time. Jimmy then uses Riley’s momentum to launch him through the air

4. You can finish the move by either following your opponent down to the floor and into side control, but if you’re proficient enough with submissions, an armbar attempt is open instantly.
