1. Greg is trapped on the ground with Mike in his half guard and no chance of working his right arm into an underhook to create leverage.
2. Reverse angle.
3. Greg uses his right arm overhook to secure Mike’s underhook and with his left hand he pushes down on Mike’s right hip.
4. Greg now plants his right foot and drives up, forcing the whizzer in and bringing his hips out from under Mike’s body weight.
5. With his backside now out of the way, Greg slides his right knee onto Mike’s left hip.
6. To avoid the escape Mike adds pressure onto his chest to force Greg’s shoulders back to the mat. But this actually opens up the reversal for Greg, who digs his left leg into the ground.
7. Pulling Mike up towards his own face, Greg simultaneously drives with his left leg and elevates Mike up and over with his right leg and overhook, turning Mike onto the mat.
8. Greg immediately slides his left knee to Mike’s hips to restrict his movement and his ability to pull guard.
9. Greg completes the reversal by stepping over into full mount.
