We follow ‘The Menace’ through training camp before he cements the longest active win-streak in the UFC’s 145lb division against Clay Guida.
MONDAY 7TH
After spending the majority of his camp training at Long Island MMA, Bermudez leaves for California where he will finish up his training at Reign Training Center in Orange County.
TUESDAY 8TH
Dennis gets in his first stint of training at Reign, and it’s a tough day of sparring with the Mark Munoz led team, including UFC lightweight Rafael Dos Anjos.
THURSDAY 10TH
‘The Menace’ takes his mind off the pressures of his upcoming UFC on Fox 12 fight against Clay Guida by visiting Lexani Wheels, top manufacturers of custom wheels and rims, in Corona, CA. He posts a photo on his Instagram of him hanging out among the Lamborghinis and Ferraris.
SATURDAY 12TH
The UFC film crew is in town to get behind-the-scenes access with Bermudez for Fox’s Road to the Octagon show. When filming is wrapped, he takes a trip to the movies to see Dawn of the Planet of the Apes with teammates Keanu Asing, Kailin Curran, Maryn Ciarelli and Patrick Cummins.
THURSDAY 17TH
It’s recovery day for Dennis and close friend Cummins. The two athletes visit the Cold Rush Wellness facility in Laguna Niguel for a spot of cryotherapy to help them heal the hurts of fight camp in the final days before fight week.
MONDAY 21ST
It’s the first day of fight week and the 13-3 featherweight continued his training at Reign. “Got sum good work in this morning moving around w/@EllenbergerMMA this morning at @TRAIN2REIGN,” he tweets. He later discusses his upcoming fight on The Jason Ellis Show on Sirius XM.
FRIDAY 25TH
It’s the day before the biggest fight of Bermudez’s pro career and that can mean only one thing: it’s time to weigh-in! Dennis hits the scales in San Jose, California at 146lb, his opponent Guida weighs 145lb.
SATURDAY 26TH
Bermudez enters the SAP Center riding a six-fight win streak. After a comfortable first round against ‘The Carpenter’ he manages to sink in a rear naked choke and earns himself a post-fight cash bonus for his efforts.
