Fight camp fuel from inside the ice-boxes of champions. The red-hot UFC middleweight contender with the scorching chili sauce obsession.

Name the leading must-haves in your ice-box?

“Bacon, extra crunchy peanut butter, rib-eye and coffee. I’ll just go with those four.”

What do you gorge on?

“Souls (laughs).”

What do you cheat with?

“Tacos. They are spectacular. I could eat them all day.”

Do you keep anything other than frozen peas in your freezer?

“A lot of ice packs, a little liquor, frozen Gatorade. That’s about it.”

What is your favorite bottled sauce?

“I love Tabasco. I love 100% American-made hot sauces. I am a total sauce guy. I like them as carriers. I love spicy mustard. I like hash browns because I get to put ketchup on them. And I like French fries, not because I like French fries, but because I get to put ketchup on them.”

What dessert do you enjoy?

“Dark chocolate peanut butter brownies.”

What is your own signature dish?

“I don’t know if I can narrow it down to a single dish. I have three people in the car with me, and all three gave different answers. My wife said Thai pizza, Tim O’Donnell said he likes my meatloaf and I don’t even know how to take that! And Machado, the Italian guy, said he likes my pasta.”

What is your favorite meal during fight camp?

“Tacos. I make healthy ones with fresh salad and lean meats.”

What meal do you eat after the weigh-in?

“After the weigh-in is just as important as before the weigh-in as far as eating all the right things. That’s very painful because you want to gorge. I eat a pretty boring meal after weigh-ins.”

What food do you look forward to most after a fight?

“Now we’re talking. A cheeseburger. Or as Michael Bisping said a ‘meat biscuit’. Who in the hell says that?”

Which nationality of food is your favorite?

“Indian food. I enjoy a good hot curry.”

LOVES

"Burgers, tacos, rib-eye."

HATES

"Flavor-less food. Go spicy or go home."
