WWE commentary legend Jim Ross mulling over move to UFC

Much-loved WWE announcer and talent development rep Jim Ross, who recently parted ways with his long-time employer, has expressed an interest in applying his skills in the MMA industry. UFC could gatecrash NYC without law

The UFC’s push for legalization of MMA in the state of New York could see the Las Vegas promotion hold an event there in the latter half of 2014. Should the UFC’s lawsuit receive a favorable ruling after June 30th 2014 when New York legislature closes shop for the year, there’s a gap where the promotion could legally hold events with a third-party sanctioning body without a new law being passed.

Speaking of the hypothetical potential of selling part of MFC to the UFC in an interview with ex UFC fighter Frank Trigg via MMA OddsBreaker, he said: “I would want to spar with him three rounds of boxing before we made the deal. And then we make it after that because I would mash him in a boxing match. I would just destroy him. It wouldn’t even be close.”
