This Bellator featherweight is aptly nicknamed ‘The Silverback’ – because he goes ape if he doesn’t get his seafood every day
Name the leading must-haves you keep in your ice-box?
“White fish, salmon, frozen chicken and popsicles for my daughter.”
What do you gorge on?
“Seafood. All day, every day.”
What do you cheat with?
“Right now I’m trying to make 145lb so I cheat with sushi. But that’s not much of a cheat.”
What is your favorite bottled sauce?
“I’m from Cincinnati. A lot of people won’t know it but it’s Montgomery BBQ Sauce. There’s a restaurant by the river that does it and the stuff is great.”
Which dessert do you enjoy?
“Plain vanilla ice cream. My wife always laughs at me. I don’t need my ice cream to have a bowl of candy in it!”
What is your own signature dish?
“I make really good eggs. My wife likes them. (Josh) Koscheck always has me make them now that we are in California, too.”
What is your favorite meal during fight camp?
“I really like my cod, the white fish. I eat it warm or cold I like it so much. Grapefruit, too. It tastes so good to me. If people had to diet hard they would really appreciate good basic foods.”
Which nationality of food is your favorite?
“American red meat, like steak. Luke Rockhold would make the best steak. He would roast blue cheese on top of it. It was so good!”
Anything in there inedible?
“Everything in there is edible.”
